With the start of this new year, I have some important and exciting news to share with you. Elastic Suite & PlumRiver Technologies have been acquired by Emerald Holdings, a leader in building dynamic, market-driven business-to-business platforms that integrate live events with a broad array of industry insights, digital tools, and data-focused solutions to create uniquely rich experiences. You are likely familiar with some of their industry-leading brands that include Outdoor Retailer, Surf Expo, RetailX, Active Collective, Prosper, Source Direct.

First, I want to assure you that our priority remains providing you, our clients, with the highest level of customer service. Our day-to-day operations will remain unaffected and our full staff is staying on board. Next, Emerald acquiring Elastic Suite was a natural transition to help unite national tradeshows and Emerald’s current customers with a digital platform that will aid in conducting business.  Our Enterprise-level product will continue to be PlumRiver’s main focus as we evolve and grow to help brands create streamlined and efficient end-to-end B2B processes.

This partnership creates multiple benefits for you as a valued Elastic partner. Greater integration and collaboration between brands and retailers, that now can incorporate Emerald’s live events and encompass more customers as the preferred wholesale merchandising and purchasing platform.

Growth within and between verticals means adoption and ultimately, a greater understanding and ease of use for all reps and dealers.

  • Retention of the entire PlumRiver and Elastic technology teams so you will have complete continuity and consistency in your use of our platforms. This means continuity of all of PlumRiver’s platforms including Flex and iVendix.

What does this mean for you?

There will be absolutely no interruption in service as our entire staff of technical developers, customer success analysts and project managers, and hardware and servers will not be moving or changing. Our focus will continue to be on you, our existing clients, and creating the best possible enterprise-level solution in Elastic.

The same goes for retail platform users – we will continue to educate and support you as we go through this transition. We expect no interruption in service and all users will be able to continue business as usual.

2020 was a year of challenges and adjustments that created the need to become more flexible and strategic in how we serve our markets and retailers.  The value of Elastic in addressing these challenges has been brought into clear focus as a result.  Please know that we will continue to build on what we have learned and deliver even more value to you in 2021 and beyond as a result of our joining with Emerald.
